- IT’S OFFICIAL: TAMPA PALMS BLVD WILL REMAIN FOUR LANES!
- The City of Tampa was originally proposing the removal of a lane of travel from Tampa Palms Blvd in each direction, and replacing it with a dedicated bicycle lane. Councilman Viera, along with senior member of the Mobility Department for the City of Tampa, have confirmed that, based on the overwhelming concern raised by the Tampa Palms residents to the proposed changes, Tampa Palms Blvd will remain four lanes (two lanes in each direction).
- The repaving project design is on-going
- Repaving construction will commence mid to late 2022 for Segment 1 (East of BB Downs)
- Segment 2 will follow (West of BB Downs to Edensburg)
- Any future safety enhancements being considered will be presented to the community for review. The great news is again, Tampa Palms Blvd will remain four lanes!
